Don Gray

Don Gray (Atqaqsaq Kious) sits on the Board of Directors for Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation (UIC) and is the Director of UIC Oil & Gas, Environmental and Marine Services for UIC. He previously served as their Senior Director of Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Training (QHSET), responsible for the administration of all QHSET programs within the corporation.

Mr. Gray is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience leading various operating units across North America., working with many native organizations including Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and the Native Village of Barrow. Prior to his joining UIC, he served as the Vice President of QHSET with the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation’s Energy Services.

Mr. Gray has served as the Chair of the Occupational Safety & Health Industry Advisory Board at the University of Alaska, and was a management representative on the Alaska Workers’ Compensation Board. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Volunteers of America.

Mr. Gray received an Associate’s degree in Applied Science Emergency Medical Services as a Paramedic and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from Davenport College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from City University of Seattle. In addition, he completed the Harvard Business School Program for Leadership.
